With a focus on decoding skills, Ramah (level) One introduces the shape of Hebrew letters, the right-to-left direction of Hebrew writing and familiarity with key Hebrew vocabulary words.
Student will learn to identify names and sounds of all letters and vowels, decode one and two syllables and continue the use of vocabulary words. Ramot (levels) 1 and 2 make use of the Hebrew Helpers Kit, a pack of Hebrew learning tools for each student, including thirty-two letter flashcards that fit over the letters for correct placement, and the Alef Advancer, which allows the matching of letters with names, sounds, vowels, etc. Ramot 1 and 2 are primers.
