MONEY MATTERS: JEWISH ETHICS OF MONEY AND BUSINESS
The youth of this generation are living in an environment of unparalleled wealth. Money Matters: Jewish Ethics of Money and Business attempts to help young people navigate, with a Jewish compass, the ethical issues associated with money. The curriculum poses important questions about money that students face every day and provides Jewish texts as a guiding source to grapple with these questions. The curriculum contains two modules: one module for middle school students and one for high school students, each composed of a teacher's guide and a full-color student workbook. The lessons have been designed to offer schools maximum flexibility in that they can be taught as single stand-alone lessons or in any combination within a specific module. Each module contains five student lessons, one parent education lesson, and one family education lesson.
This curriculum was commissioned by Susan and Bill Ehrlich of Wilshire Boulevard Temple in Los Angeles in memory of their son Jordan, who devoted his brief life to ensuring that ethical standards be applied to business practices and all other endeavors.
